Sixty years since Hendrix first plugged into a Marshall stack, the brand unveils three new limited-edition products inspired by his psychedelic vision.
It’s been six decades since Jimi Hendrix first plugged into a Marshall amplifier and created sonic history. Now, Marshall is closing the curtain on its Hendrix™ 60th Anniversary Collection with three new limited-edition releases that blend cosmic psychedelia with the brand’s classic design DNA: the Major V headphones, the Emberton III portable speaker, and the hand-built JMH Studio amplifier bundle.
Each piece takes visual cues from Hendrix’s fascination with space, colour, and the all-seeing eye motif, layered over Marshall’s iconic black-and-brass aesthetic. The result is a lineup that feels as much like wearable art as it does premium audio gear.
Headphones and Speakers That Channel the Legend

The Hendrix 60th Anniversary Edition Major V on-ear headphones come dressed in a sleek black finish with psychedelic purple oil-on-water detailing across the inner headband and ear cups, accented by the all-seeing eye motif. Marshall’s signature sound remains, wrapped in a foldable, rugged build that promises days of playback on a single charge. They’re priced at £129.99 and available now from marshall.com, with select retailers stocking them from 9th September.
The Hendrix 60th Anniversary Edition Emberton III portable speaker carries the same purple oil-on-water design across its sleeve and grille, complete with a silver all-seeing eye on the media jog and purple LEDs. Each silicone sleeve is hand-dipped using water transfer print, making every unit unique. With over 24 hours of playback, it’s a fitting tribute to Hendrix’s expansive catalogue. The Emberton III is priced at £149.99 and follows the same release timeline as the Major V. If you’re in the market for a portable speaker that stands out, this one’s a statement piece.
Hand-Built Studio Power from Bletchley
The crown jewel of the collection is the Hendrix 60th Anniversary JMH Studio Bundle, a portable amplifier reimagining the classic Studio Vintage design. Hand-built at Marshall’s Bletchley factory in the UK, it’s wrapped in black Tolex with a psychedelic black-and-purple fret and control panel, intricate silver beading across the knobs, handle, logo, and grille, and purple LED indicators. It’s built from quality plywood and designed to deliver everything from clean blues tones to harmonically rich, searing distortion. Priced at £1,749.99, it launches 9th September.
The launch also features an interview with American blues-rock artist Ally Venable—now an official Marshall endorser—filmed at the Granada Theatre in Dallas. She discusses the influence of both Hendrix and Marshall on her musical journey, and you can watch the full video on YouTube.
All three anniversary editions are available now or from 9th September. Head to marshall.com for full specs, pricing, and availability.
