Miss Flavour is back once again for it’s fifth year running and this year it is bigger than ever. If you have been living under a rock and do not know about the contest of the year, here is the low down.

Run by legendary publication Flavour Magazine; Miss Flavour is an occasion where we get the chance to celebrate diversity, brains and beauty in the UK in a spectacular modelling/entertainment competition. Flavour Magazine strives to give contestants their own platform so they can promote their creative talents in front of influential professionals in the industry, celebrities and members of the public. Contestants also get the chance to win some fantastic prizes.

Miss Flavour winner of 2009 Melissa Lewars spoke about what she achieved since winning:

“I’ve appeared on Sarah Jane Crawford’s show on BBC 1Xtra, and Eddie Kadi and Leah Charles interviewed me on their television programme It’s All Good on OHTV. I’ve also been interviewed at the Black Tie Comedy Awards. After interviewing UK’s Supreme Skaters Elite, I have just finished writing an article on the crew. Opportunities to write just keep coming – I’ve written a music review for Mr Midas and am currently writing a book review for Alexander Jackman on his new book ‘I am.’”

Miss Flavour is a unique contest, showcasing many talents including presenting, dance, music, fashion and more. Flavour receives thousands of entries from potential contestants, but only 20 can make it though to the finals to gain the opportunity of a lifetime. To enter the competition, you will need to have more than just a pretty face. Miss Flavour represents women who are socially aware, inspired and motivated to create positive change in the world. You don’t need to have a lot, but what you do need is ambition and drive. After all, Flavour Magazine is ‘for the Young and Ambitious.’

Miss Flavour also provides an awesome opportunity to network, make new friends and ultimately give you the chance to bring you a step closer to achieving your goals in life.

Top brands sponsor the star-studded event; last year companies such as BET, Palmers Cocoa Butter, Apple Bottoms and Golddigga were involved. You may even get the chance to grab some free goodies from the sponsors on the night!

This year, the live final will take place at the chic Café De Paris on November 9. The lucky winner will have a modeling/entertainment career launched with the support and guidance of Flavour. The winner will also get the chance to star in a luxurious fashion shoot and receive lots of exposure to get your name out there.

Miss Flavour 2010 winner Neetu Sahota spoke about her win:

“I couldn’t believe it; till this point I still cannot believe it, I’ve never won anything like this before so it feels very nice to be known as Miss Flavour. By being Miss Flavour there are certain standards that I’ll have to uphold and I hope these standards transfer into my personal life and goals, eg my dancing and modelling, also, most importantly, strengthen my qualities into womanhood.”

So what are you waiting for? Entering could not be easier! Register for Miss Flavour 2011 here all you need to do is upload a head shot and full-length photo. You will receive an email once your profile goes live. The closing date for the competition is October 3.
