Miss Lauryn Hill Brings Diaspora Calling! to the UK for the First Time This August

One of music’s most iconic voices is coming home — to the UK at least. Miss Lauryn Hill is set to headline Diaspora Calling!, making its UK debut at Milton Keynes National Bowl on Friday 7th August 2026, alongside a lineup that reads like a masterclass in Black music heritage.

Joining her on the bill are Wyclef Jean, YG Marley, and Zion Marley — with further special guests still to be announced. It’s shaping up to be one of the most culturally significant events on this year’s summer calendar.

What is Diaspora Calling?

Launched in 2016 by Ms. Lauryn Hill herself, Diaspora Calling! started as an exhibition and performance at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre. Its mission has always been clear: celebrate the culture, creativity, and shared histories of the African diaspora through music and art.

Over the years, the initiative has grown into a touring experience featuring some of the most important artists in Black music — Nas, Kehlani, Noname, and Little Simz among them. It’s less about a standard festival and more about a statement. A gathering of cultures, sounds, and stories connected by a common thread.

This year, for the first time, that statement comes to the UK.

The lineup

Miss Lauryn Hill headlines as her only confirmed UK show for 2026 — which makes this a genuine must-see moment. Her live performances are rare and rarely predictable, which only adds to the draw.

Wyclef Jean brings his boundless energy and Fugees legacy back to a UK stage. YG Marley and Zion Marley carry forward the family dynasty with their own distinct voices, both rooted in reggae and reaching well beyond it.

With more names still to be announced, the full lineup could easily cement this as a festival highlight of the summer.

Tickets

Tickets go on sale on Monday 31st March at 9AM via diaspora-calling.co.uk. Given the calibre of the lineup and the rarity of a Miss Lauryn Hill UK appearance, early is strongly advised.

Milton Keynes National Bowl is one of the UK’s most iconic outdoor venues — it has a history with some of the biggest names in music. For Diaspora Calling!’s UK debut, it feels like the right stage.
