Less is More Music returns to the Strand’s exclusive Adam Street Private Member’s Club, with a fantastic line up for their More Music Less Noise show on Saturday 25th February. Flavour’s Catherine Ababio (@CatAbs22) will be there to check out what is sure to be a great show – don’t miss out either!
After a great show in September, More Music Less Noise promises to be even bigger and better with this, its first outing for 2012. MOBO nominated and former #FlavourLive songtress Rachel Kerr, will be one of four great talents to perform on the night. She has just released her EP ‘Back To Music’ and having shared the stage with US megastars Musiq Soulchild, Donell Jones and Kirk Franklin, she is definitely one of the UK’s brightest new rising stars. Adding a interestingly different dimension will be a poet and rapper called G.R.E.Ed.S, whose latest release ‘Ready’ and acoustic set will showcase his aim to continually push the bondaries of spoken word. More than ready and waiting to hit the #MMLN stage is BRIT School vocalist Leanne Robinson, who will prove why her talent has been acknowledged by The Evening Standard and SBTV. Lastly, but by no means least, is J the Ex, Less Is More Music’s very own signing who will be throwing his expressive offerings in to the mix. Alongside his band Soul Clef, the rapper and singer will be celebrating the release of his debut track ‘360: Full Circle’ and leading the way for his next project ‘From Darkness Came Light’.
Hosted by Alim Kamara, this Saturday night will not only be a chance to enjoy some of the must see acts of 2012, but a party celebration of rising UK talent. Spinning Hip-Hop, RnB, Soulful House, Afrobeats and more on the decks will be some of your favourite DJ’s. DJ Funk Butcher, DJ Darkchild and Selecta Maestro will keep the afterparty pumping fresh until the early hours of the morning and with an exclusive mix celebrating the re-emergence of Neo-Soul legend D’angelo to boot, you’ll find yourself scheduling in #MoreMusicLessNoise as a regular weekend treat!
