Mr Midas’ new single for charity

One in six people in the UK struggle to read and write. The National Literacy Trust is an independent charity that works to change this and have joined forces with Mr Midas. As a cause close to his heart, the TV presenter of new music TV show BOOM TV on 4Music has decided to dedicate the proceeds of his new single ‘Try Make Me (Slow Down)’ to the National Literacy Trust to help raise funds and awareness of the charity.

Anna Lindsay from the National Literacy Trust says: “We are proud to have Mr Midas as a long term and passionate supporter of the National Literacy Trust. We are delighted that he will be donating money from his brand new single ‘Try Make Me (Slow Down)’ to us. This will help us to continue to support children and adults from disadvantaged communities to develop the literacy skills they need to lead happy and successful lives.”

With the Award winning dancehall artist’s energetic flow, sweet boy persona and cleverly crafted lyrics ‘Try Make Me (Slow Down)’ is a lively feel good party tune which is inspired by Mr Midas’ Jamaican roots. The song encourages you to party and the ladies to, in Midas’ words, “wine their waist down”. With a festival style electro mix from Richie Fargas (Kelis, Ellie Goulding) and with a fast paced funky house mix from legendary producer Sticky (Ms Dynamite – Booo!) ‘Try Make Me (Slow Down)’ is bound to get the clubs bouncing.
