Critically acclaimed US drama MR. ROBOT will be coming exclusively to Amazon Prime members in the UK and Germany on Oct 16
ROBOT, one of the most buzzworthy U.S. shows of the year, will launch exclusively for Amazon Prime members in the U.K., Germany & Austria after Prime Video secured streaming rights to the drama-thriller series from NBCUniversal.
The first episode of MR. ROBOT premiered in the U.S. earlier this year at the South by Southwest Film Festival where it won the Audience Award for Episodic Television and then later aired on the USA Network. All 10 episodes of the critically lauded series from Universal Cable Productions will be available to stream in the U.K. for Amazon Prime members from Friday 16 October, 2015.
ROBOT has been described as “The Social Network meets ‘Occupy Wall Street’” and has already won widespread praise from fans and critics alike; referred to as an “addictive, entertaining and popular out-of-nowhere summer series” (The Hollywood Reporter), a “visually striking, subversive and often surprising drama” (Rolling Stone), “a modern classic” (www.forbes.com), a “gripping thriller to binge-watch” (People) and “the best hacking show yet” (Wired). MR. ROBOT has also received an “A”-rating (Entertainment Weekly) and has a 9.0/10 IMDb rating.

Mr. Robot stars Rami Malek (The Pacific) as Elliot, a young computer programmer who works as a cyber-security engineer by day and as a vigilante hacker by night. Elliot finds himself at a crossroads when the mysterious leader of an underground hacker group played by Christian Slater (Nymphomaniac) recruits him to destroy the firm he is paid to protect. Compelled by his personal beliefs, Elliot struggles to resist the chance to take down the multinational CEOs he believes are running (and ruining) the world.
Mr. Robot also stars Portia Doubleday (Her), Carly Chaikin (Suburgatory) and Martin Wallström (Simple Simon). Sam Esmail (Comet) is creator, writer and executive producer. Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin (True Detective) and Chad Hamilton (Breakup at a Wedding) also serve as executive producers.
All ten episodes of MR. ROBOT season one will be available for unlimited streaming from Friday 16 October, in an exclusive premiere for Amazon Prime members in the U.K.
