GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

American pilot, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb which is desired by Ronan (Lee Pace), a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits-Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand-with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Marvel are really trying to take over on the big screen, ever expanding their comic based franchise into the universe. It has that cheeky comic book humour that keeps it pretty light, but the storyline is just to outstretched to make this a long film. We can guarantee though this will be a major summer blockbuster.

THE NUT JOB

Following Surly (Will Arnett), a mischievous little squirrel, and his rat friend Buddy plan a nut store heist of outrageous proportions they soon unwittingly find themselves embroiled in a much more complicated and funny adventure.

Littered with the famous voices of Will Arnett, Brendan Fraser, Liam Neeson and Katherine Heigl, The Nut Job is based on Director Peter Lepeniotis short 2005 animated film Surly Squirrel. Despite the big named voices laying their support behind the main characters this is no way going to save a film with no likable characters and a lacklustre storyline.

STEP UP 5: ALL IN

All-stars from the previous Step Up instalments come together in glittering Las Vegas, battling for a victory that could define their dreams and their careers.
What can I say, once you’ve seen one Step Up you’ve seen them all, storylines are all basically the same and there’s nothing new to see here. The only good thing about this is the awesome moves from these super fit and flexible human beings. If you don’t mind staring are fit men and women for an hour or so without any real story worthy of a watch by no means knock yourself out.
