The films nominated for Limelight Film and Arts Awards 2011 have now been officially revealed. The 2011 round of the annual short film competition saw the highest submissions to date, with high quality standards of films.
Nominees have been invited to attend a red carpet Oscar style awards ceremony attended by hundreds of film makers and personalities from the film, TV and media industry. All shortlisted films have the chance of winning one of 14 awards up for grabs including the prestigious Film of The Night Award along with a £10,000 production prize.
Limelight has been around since 2007 and arose because the managers from Spotlight UK felt that with many new creative and artistic movements, countless of the young and upcoming talents go unnoticed. They desperately lack a platform where they can show of their artistic skills, whether it be film making, dance, music or art.

Tickets for the awards night on 23rd June at Troxy are available and are specifically aimed at filmmakers so if you would like to attend Limelight 2011 please let us know. The night itself is a great opportunity to experience a very enjoyable night and network with other people from the film and media sector.
