Every day the London Tube has around 3.5 million people travel through it, so what bigger audience is there to showcase your talent? The buskers at London Underground stations performing on branded pitches are not just people randomly playing music trying to make a quick buck, but are actually licensed and legitimate professional buskers who are part of the London Underground Busking Scheme.

The LU scheme has attracted international media interest and some buskers have gone on to perform for royalty, work with recognised musicians, been booked for events or studio sessions. The scheme has even attracted some big names to perform on the Tube including, The Libertines and Badly Drawn Boy.

The LU scheme has up to 39 pitches across 25 Central London stations which are easily recognisable by the semi-circular floor design and backdrop advert on the wall. Who knows who might walk past when you are performing and by starting out on the Tube, you never know where you may end up.
