Personal Trainer @CharlotteOrds Lean Definition Exercises

Charlotte Ord is a personal trainer and is probably best known for her work on the Biggest Loser, one of ITV’s hit shows in which a group of over-weight individuals compete to lose the most weight. Ord is also a fitness club owner and a coach as well as a Brand Ambassador for MaxiNutrition. In 2010 she was named the UK personal trainer of the year and since then her career has gone from strength to strength.
Being a well-respected trainer in her field Ord has put together a video some simple exercises for people looking to gain some lean definition through their body, just in time for the summer. These exercises can be done by both beginners and fitness enthusiasts as they are simple yet highly effective.

Real Row
The real row exercise is simple and will work your core muscles and upper back. You simply get into a straight arm plank position whilst keeping a straight posture throughout your body and, whilst keeping your pelvis level, lift each hand to your shoulder. For beginners Ord advises to do one set of 15 reps and build up to doing more reps when you feel able.

Dumbbell pullover
The dumbbell pullover is another easy exercise that will work the bigger muscles in your back as well as your arms. By holding the dumbbell securely and lying back with your head on a headrest you slowly take your arms over your head and bring back. Only pull your arms back to as comfortably as you can go to avoid causing an injury.

Push up
The push up is one of the more well-known and well-practiced exercises; get back into the straight arm plank position and lower your chest to the floor and then pull the body back up into the starting position. This exercise will focus on your core stability and give you lean definition through your arms and chest.
These three exercises will help you get a better definition in different parts of your body and by working up to more sets you should see the benefits in no time. Make sure to watch out for the second instalment of the video to learn some new exercises to help gain more lean definition on different parts of your body.
