Mouth-watering gourmet sandwiches you need to go out of your way to try.

Based in the heart of Mayfair, London at 1a Shepherd Street, it’s not actually the largest of eateries you’ve ever seen. In fact, it only seats 6 customers but this cute little establishment also offers takeaway and delivery to the local area and we can guarantee after tasting their succulent sandwiches you WILL be going back for more.

Cafe Mish use the best seasonal and local produce available to them and their speciality is Salt Beef Sandwiches on artisan bread. However, after taking a look at the menu of delicious roasted sandwiches including a porchetta style slow roasted lamb saddle with red onion confit, mint and wild rocket as well as vegetarian options such as a creamy burratta with camone & marinda tomatoes with homemade pesto on toasted focaccia we opted for the Mish pastrami.

Deciding to turn up after the lunchtime rush was probably the best idea we had as after we had ordered we had to wait a little while (not too long) to get our sandwich. Once it arrived, and we sunk our teeth into the sandwich, which was stacked with marinated beef brisket, Russian dressing, rose harissa, sauerkraut and melted Emmentaler our taste buds just exploded. This was probably the best sandwich we had ever tasted. Coming with our sandwich was a side dish of Mish chips not just any ordinary chips but sweet potato hand cut chips with spiced Halen mon salt. Just from the naked eye you wouldn’t think it would be all that filling but you will find yourself stuffed even if your mouth is telling you, you want another.

As well as offering some of the most succulent sandwiches you will ever taste, they also offer weekly specials, a soup of the day and freshly brewed coffee to keep you awake after your tasty and belly-filling meal.

Considering its location, you shouldn’t be surprised that Cafe Mish prices are a bit on the high side. Prices start from a staggering £6.75 for the main sandwiches and vegetarian options and the cheapest option is the Mish Chips at £2.95. Most sandwiches come in small, medium and large which will find you paying a massive £12.75.

With friendly staff only happy to serve you, Cafe Mish is that once a week treat you should be treating your mouth too.
