Review: Tanya Lacey’s New EP ‘Head Chef’

When Tinchy Stryder featured the Bristol-born singer-songwriter on his second album ‘Catch 22’, the powerhouse songstress started to make a name for herself, but a year later after featuring on Loick Essien’s hit single, ‘How We Roll’ Tanya virtually went from unknown to known.

Her new EP ‘Head Chef’ seems as if she has found herself, the grown woman and the artist she has evolved into. There’s no denying that she has a special voice and an incredible gift to turn anything she touches into hits.

‘Head Chef’ isn’t at all bad. The EP contains many head banging and fist-thumping moments including ‘Too Many Cooks,’ ‘Greatness ft Kano,’ ‘Shoe Game’ and ‘Stop Start.’

The eight track project serves as a perfect taster highlighting her growth. And there’s no big name artists overshadowing the greatness she retains as a artist in her own right.

To whet your appetites take a listen below to  a sampler of ‘Head Chef’, which you can also purchase from here. For more info you can follow Tanya on Twitter @tanyalacey
