Internet entrepreneur and SB.TV founder Jamal Edwards, is the latest figure to be put at the forefront of ‘New Era – Fly Your Own Flag’ campaign.

Joining the likes of N*E*R*D, the 20 year old entrepreneur is the newest edition to the New York based hat brand, which has existed for over 90 years. The global brand campaign focuses on individuality, self-expression and features figures like Jamal, who are successfully putting their own unique stamp on the world within their  respective industries. Having made the The Guardian’s list of Top Young Entrepreneurs, the SB.TV founder heads up one of the leading online youth broadcasters which has over 60,000 YouTube channel subscribers and features exclusive performances, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage with hip-hop, grime, and R&B performers.

Wanting to give a platform to young people who are fighting to be head, Jamal started out with just a video camera and YouTube account. Four years down the line, the site has received attention from a wide range of high profile figures and still proudly boasts the tag line: ‘We showcase talent, not status.’

New Era is adored by celebrities worldwide; superstar Lady Gaga was even spotted wearing a cap on stage at her international Monster Ball last year along with a list of wellknown faces who have New Era caps as a staple within their waredrobes. Previous Flagbearers have come from within a diverse range of careers, different ethnic backgrounds and are all positive cultural representatives in their own right. Jamal joins a group of people who are not only passionate about the New Era hat brand, but who all have a unique brand of ambitious flair themselves.
