Recently chosen as one of the new faces for Samsung and their OVERTOYOU ad campaign for the Samsung GALAXY S4, his latest offering is a beautifully fresh hip-hop type flex.
His voice kind of reminds me of Ghost Poet with that slightly rough delivery and simplistic but nevertheless powerful bars which unsuspectingly draw you in. Featuring the luscious vocals of Aleshia Lee it is a re-telling of his life which avoids a harsh heavy beat for something infinitely more soulful. Ultimately the choice for soulful yearnings brings a track that is up lifting and inspirational despite issues relating to the death of his a friend and a life where his father figure was absent. The video is a gorgeously simple offering and the young guy that plays Shadez is engaging- surely an actor in the making who needs a speaking part!
