DC Studios has dropped a new trailer and poster for Supergirl, arriving in UK cinemas on 26th June 2026.
After months of anticipation, we finally get a proper look at Milly Alcock in the role of Kara Zor-El, and it is fair to say the film looks like a serious step up from what we were expecting.
What We Know
Directed by Craig Gillespie, the man behind I, Tonya and Cruella, Supergirl follows Kara as she reluctantly teams up with an unlikely companion on an interstellar mission of vengeance and justice after a ruthless adversary strikes close to home.
The cast is strong. Alongside Alcock, the film stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa. With Peter Safran and James Gunn producing under the new DC Studios banner, this is clearly one of the centrepiece releases of the DCU’s rebuilding phase.
Watch the Trailer
Alcock, best known for her standout work in House of the Dragon, brings the kind of intensity and vulnerability the role needs. The trailer hints at a film that takes its lead character seriously, which after years of uneven DC output, feels like reason enough to be cautiously excited.
Supergirl hits UK and Irish cinemas on 26th June 2026, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
