Prime Video’s iconic motoring series is back with trainspotter Francis Bourgeois and YouTube duo Throttle House taking over, launching globally on 4th September.
The Grand Tour is officially handing over the keys. Prime Video has unveiled a new trailer for the iconic motoring series, which roars back to life on Friday, 4th September with a completely fresh lineup behind the wheel. This time, it’s celebrated trainspotter and secret petrolhead Francis Bourgeois teaming up with James Engelsman and Thomas Holland, the acclaimed creators of YouTube’s Throttle House, for their first series at the helm.
The trailer below teases all six episodes, which will launch globally across more than 240 countries and territories, and it’s clear the new crew isn’t holding back on the absurdity that made The Grand Tour legendary.
Big Questions, Bigger Stunts
What are the burning automotive questions of our generation? Can you sneak undetected across Colorado in a trio of Japanese microcars? What’s the most unbreakable car in history? And if you urgently need to put something onto the head of F1 driver Alex Albon, is there anything quicker than a Pagani hypercar to get it there? Francis, James, and Thomas are on it.
The series is packed with globetrotting chaos. In California, the team takes on the latest American muscle — the Ford Mustang GTD, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, and the eye-watering $2.75 million, 2000-horsepower Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Evolution — by racing them against a bunch of fighter jets. Obviously.
Guest Legends and Global Adventures
The new hosts aren’t entirely alone. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May all make guest appearances, alongside F1 World Champion Jenson Button. The team also heads to Malaysia to explore the nation’s rich car culture while investigating just how little you can spend on a sports car before it immediately blows up, then journeys through the Angolan desert in track-cars utterly unsuited for the job.
All six episodes of The Grand Tour land on Prime Video on 4th September. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or curious about the new generation taking the wheel, this is one you’ll want to stream.
