The world’s first 3D erotic film comes to the UK

3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy, the Asian smash hit, has reached the UK despite the British Board of Film Classification deeming it “too outrageous”.

Extreme Ecstasy has shattered box office records across the Asia Pacific region, including Hong Kong, and Singapore. The film has grossed over $1m on six screens in Australia and is now due to open in the UK on 2nd September in an exclusive deal with Odeon Cinemas.

The film is an adaptation of the classic novel The Carnal Prayer Mat, which is a famous Chinese erotic book. 3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy follows a young Ming Dynasty scholar named Wei Yangsheng on an eye-opening journey of sexual discovery.

Directed by Christopher Suen and produced by Stephen Shiu, the executive producer of its predecessor film Sex and Zen, the film is “the world’s first 3-D erotic film”

The Daily Mail newspaper says the film is “Crouching Tiger meets The Joy of Sex”.
