Now the summer is here some of us are going to call time on our romances. If you’re having doubts that the one you’re with is not “the one”, you’re not alone. Facebook seems to know when we’ll fall in love and according to their super-geek data science team; most break-ups take place between May and July. Translation: I care really about my career/want to go travelling/want to move house but most of all I want to date other people.

Translation: You want more than I’m prepared to give you.

7. “I need to focus on my career.”
Translation: I fancy the girl/guy in accounts.

8. “I wish it could’ve worked between us.”
Translation: I wish I didn’t have to go have this conversation.

9. “I’m not ready for a relationship right now.”
Translation: I want to go out right now and have as much single fun as possible. Erm, how about a more casual thing?

10. “My feelings for you are too strong.”
Translation: I don’t have any feelings for you.

11. “We need to talk”
Translation: The last thing I want to do is talk. I’m hoping you will get the message that I want to dump you. “

12. “I think we need to take a break”
Translation: I want to be single when I go on holiday next month.
