Top Nike Trainer Releases of Autumn 2013

Trainers– you’re either celebrating retro styles or looking forward with cutting-edge style. Yes, we have iconic brands like Puma, Adidas, Converse and Vans, but no one has capitalized the market quite like Nike. To keep you informed about what is up-and-coming, below are some hot styles to look out for this autumn.

Isaac’s Nike X Doernbecher Air Jordan 5 Retro

Of all of the sneakers to come out this year, this will probably be the hardest to find. This series of shoe is designed by children with serious medical conditions out of the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Oregon. This year, Nike teamed up with Doernbecher and the late 12 year-old, Isaac Arzate to bring you this stylish Jordan that also glows in the dark and are black light sensitive.  While these may be hard to come by in a retail store, you shouldn’t feel bad for spending £115 on these—all proceeds are donated to the children’s hospital.

NIKE LEBRON 11

King James is back, and he’s brought a whole new shoe. On October 11th, these hot-off-the-press sneakers will be out to most Nike retailers. The Lebron 11 will be released in a variety of colorways, the first being the ‘King’s Pride’ (Pictured above). Overall, there is said to be almost 20 different colorways that will be released over the next year, and most are going to be made in limited batches. So, I’d suggest if you see a pair you like, get them before they’re gone. They will be retailing for £130 (hey, it costs money to be fly). However, considering Lebron’s last shoe retailed for £170, I’d say Nike is taking pity on us lowly sneaker fiends.

Fresh Prince Air Jordan 5

If there was one 90s sitcom that deserves its own shoe, it is ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.’ You may not be able to rap as smoothly as Will, or get the laughs, but you’re sure to get some double-takes walking down the street in these. This cool, vibrant colorway is set to be priced at just around £120 and will be released October 5th through Nike.com, Foot Locker, and other Nike retailers, and Sneaker News allows you to read about Jordans like these while simultaneously scoping them out through Ebay.

Once you get these, there’s obviously only one thing to do:

SneakerBoot Collection

As the air gets colder, and the ground gets wetter, you better prepare yourself with Nike’s new SneakerBoot collection. Nike has taken all of our old favourite sneakers and converted them so they’re more rugged, warmer, and waterproof—perfect for staying on your sneaker game when the weather says you should do otherwise. From the Air Force 1, to the Air Max, all of the classics are there. They should be released early October, so you better start hoping the cool fall weather comes quick. Check out more info here.

And there you have it—though summer has now passed, we can still look forward to an exciting season of Nike releases to keep our feet looking fresh, and our wallets slim.
