Coming on the heels of ‘Boom Boom Taah,’ Mista Silva cooks up a shrouded, afrobeat-esque beat, sprinkled with a dash of drum and keyboard influence – that sees him returning with a mid-summer anthem. Hailed as the first unsigned afrobeats artist to be playlisted on BBC 1Xtra, it’s only fitting that ‘Now Wat’s Up’ arrives at a time when afrobeats really seem to be taking centre stage.

The Ghanaian MC sets his sights suitably high on the track, showcasing both his dancing and womanising skills, crafting an atmospheric, club setting for his self-assured reflections on his baby girl. The track ‘Now Wat’s Up’ will be released August 12. Watch the video above, and let us know how this rendition stack up against the current afrobeats videos currently gracing the airwaves.

I launched Flavourmag as a platform to spotlight all things worth talking about—from travel guides to the best events, experiences, and festivals happening in the UK and around the world. Whether it’s boutique getaways, luxury holiday destinations, or standout restaurants worth the hype, I’m all about exploring and sharing the good stuff that makes life more exciting. On the tech side, I review everything from the latest cars to smartphones, headphones, and smart home gear. If it’s slick, innovative, and built to enhance your lifestyle, you’ll find me testing it out. When night falls, I switch gears and put on my DJ hat playing House music at parties, raves, and club nights across the UK.
