Triple Threat: The Don Broco boys are back – New single, new album, new tour

The Bedford four-piece have taken the internet by storm this week after premiering their brand new single ‘T-Shirt Song’ on Radio One on Monday.

‘T-Shirt Song’ is a true rock anthem, soulfully coming from frontman Rob Damiani. The song stems from the darkness faced when a relationship ends and the raw emotions that circulate during the time, as well as reflecting upon an extremely personal and sensitive period for the singer in regards to how he overcame his depression.

Talking about the single, Rob says, “It’s one of the most emotional songs on the record, inspired by a close friend who had just been through a dark break-up. While writing the song it was also a difficult time for me emotionally, and one night I found myself in a club where the DJ was playing the Baywatch theme tune. Anyone who’s been to a cheesy club night will know this is the moment everyone takes off their T-shirt and swings it round their head. I didn’t really feel like it, but I joined in and as stupid as it sounds it really made me feel better. That was the start of the process by which I came to realise there was light at the end of the tunnel. This song is about going through hell and coming out the other side stronger for it.”

Social media was already in hysteria over the release, which then went into over-drive as the Don Broco lads set a date for their third studio album ‘Technology’, available for pre-order now. The new album consists of 14 tracks fuelled with genres of metal, funk and electronics, which covers themes of the effects of the Brexit campaign (‘Porkies’, ‘Something To Drink’), world tours (¥), fake news (‘Stay Ignorant’, ‘Technology’), alongside addressing personal privacy (‘Good Listener’), relationships (‘Play It Cool’, ‘Tight Rope’, ‘Got To Be You’) and their experiences in the music industry (‘Come Out To LA’).
