Dear Jesus is back for a second season following the drama filled life of Mercedes.

Picking up where season one ended, Mercedes is forced to choose between her cheating ex-boyfriend who wants a second try at their relationship, and the new man in her life, David. Season one also ended with Mercedes being rocked with the diagnosis of her mother’s cancer. This season we find out how she handles the new challenges thrown at her, but most importantly; who does she choose?

Set predominantly in bustling Cool Breeze a Caribbean Take-Away tucked in Catford, South London, Mercedes is about to go through numerous challenges that we all face everyday.

From whispers of infidelity, bastard children, the appearance of her prodigal sister and the knowledge that someone she trusted betrayed her, Mercedes is once again forced to turn to someone outside of what is tangible, visual and by all lengths, believable. Mercedes begins to draw on one thing that keeps us all going; Faith.

Closing her front door and opening her laptop, she writes to the only one who can make sense of it all and offer direction. No matter how bad things get there is one thing that remains constant and that is the opening to her prayers; Dear Jesus….

Directed by Danielle A Scott-Haughton and brought to life visually by Director of Photography Seye Isikalu, Dear Jesus Season 2 premieres on YouTube Monday March 4th 12pm. Sponsored by ‘Star Boy’ written by Tilsa Wright
