Whilst at the London leg of the MOBOs tour, an event organised by URBAN DEVELOPMENT & the MOBOs which hit six cities across the UK, I grabbed a few members of the audience to get their say on who they believe is a pioneer in the game! Here’s what they had to say:

Aron Jervis1. “For me, it’s Tinie, Stryder, Chipmunk and Skepta – they’re all breaking the mould. From the small crews they came from, they put their mind and hard work to it and are doing very well.”
Aron Jervis, 23, Leyton (East London)

Alan VA-G2. “Right now, Tinie Tempah! – From the ‘Wifey Riddim’ to now, he’s come up with a whole different sound and I’m definitely feeling what he’s doing right now.”
Alan VA-G, 24, South London

Leah Roberts3. “I have to say Labrynth! He is very talented and everything he is dropping right now is big!”
Leah Roberts, 16, East London

Lisa Woods4. “Mz. Brat! Has to be her! Not just because I’m related to her but she is also doing very well for herself at the minute!”
Lisa Woods, 23, Woodford

Raissa + Isata5. “Tinie, Skepta & Labrynth! Look how much they have all done in such a short time!”
Raissa, 16 & Isata 17, South London

Mr Hood MyHood Clothing6. “Wiley – I think he’s original, he brings a lot of talent to the industry, his music is always on point and trend setting!”
Mr Hood MyHood Clothing, 25, West London

I also met some of the artists headlining the tour backstage and caught up with some familiar faces that had come down to support! Here’s who the UK TEAM think are doing well in 2010:

1. “Tinie Tempah is doing the most right now! This is his year!’”

2. “Liam Francis, I’m running with that right now, he’s that guy!”

3. “For me I’d say Bruno Mars, B.O.B and Tinie!”

4. “Everyone is doing really well at the moment, Skepta, Scorcher and Mz Brat especially!”

5. “Skepta, I’ve always rated him as an artist and I hope he cleans up at every award ceremony he goes!”

6. “Has to be Tinie Tempah, he had a phenomenal single to start up with and followed up with two more hits!”
