It’s been a busy 2011 so far for Bluey, who already has a string of live performances under his belt – including warming up the crowd as the support act for both Justin Bieber and Tinie Tempah on their huge UK tours and performing support slots for P!nk and Jay-Z at Wireless. After hitching up over half a million views on Youtube with his acoustic performances at underground stations in London, Paris and New York, the soulful and divine Bluey Robinson released his eagerly anticipated debut single ‘Showgirl’ in May. ‘Showgirl’ captures Bluey’s flawless vocal and cements the 22-year-old Sweden-born, London-raised singer as a crossover Soul / Pop artist with the ability to create catchy hooks and melodies to match his charming good looks. The track is produced by London hitmaker Labrinth and comes after two years of studio collaborations between Bluey and the in-demand producer. The pair created the song after jamming together in the studio to create a futuristic funk song with a 70s / 80s feel.
