Punch, the Birmingham-based leading music company, today announced their very first ‘Soul Acoustic’ tour. The event taking place across the country in June will feature some of the brightest UK soul talents, including, Mercury Music Prize winner Terri Walker, MS D, Shezar, Liverpool’s KOF, ‘Make It Funky For Me’ star Shea, Wretch 32’s ‘Blackout’ collaborator Shakka, Kaleem Taylor, Josh Osho and Midlands singer Call Me Unique.

Thanks to the recent success of the soul genre in the UK, ‘Soul Acoustic’ will showcase the very best from the above performers and their striking live vocals in an acoustic setting. “A tour like this is exactly what is needed right now. Soul Acoustic will give us a chance to do what we do best – perform – and show the songs in their natural stripped down state. The line-up is brilliant, and I can’t wait to hit the road,” said headliner Terri Walker.

The seven date outing begins in Inverness, Scotland as part of the Go North Festival on June 6 before moving to House in Liverpool on Friday 7, London’s Jazz Café on the 9th, Birmingham’s spectacle will coincide with the BASS Festival on Tuesday 11 at Glee Club before moving onto Glee Cardiff on Wednesday 12; Friday 14 at Glee Nottingham and then concluding in Manchester on the 16.

“This tour is an important opportunity to show support for quality artists and work they have been releasing,” said Punch CEO Ammo Talwar MBE. He also added “Soul Acoustic’ is something we have wanted to do for some time and now we feel everything is in place to make this an incredible series of events.”
