Which music starlet featured on DJ Fresh’s number one single ‘Hot Right Now’?

With two No.1 singles, two sold out UK live tours and over 1 million sales, DJ Fresh aka Dan Stein is leading the new wave of British dance artists who are spearheading ‘generation bass’, the UK’s biggest youth music explosion since acid house.

One of the originators of drum&bass, Fresh began his career as founding member of the supergroup Bad Company. In ‘98 when Fresh was still 19, the group released The Nine – a track that was to later be voted the best d&b tune of all time by D&B Arena. Not bad for a guy still in his teens!

But in the last 12 months, DJ Fresh has truly become a household name with the huge success of tracks like Gold Dust & Louder. With Louder notching up over 500,000 sales and being the first Number 1 for Fresh it also became the first EVER dubstep track to top the charts and feature as the soundtrack to the Lucozade advert.

Constantly pushing the boundaries of the d&b/dubstep crossover sound, FRESH/LIVE combines the technique and hysteria of his DJ sets with the energy of a live instrumental performance. Fresh has handpicked a fine selection of musicians to create a highly skilful unit that will delight crowds with their expertise.

His album, ‘Nextlevelism’ is Fresh’s third studio album and the release that will cement his place in electronic music history. New single ‘The Feeling’ was released late September.

This Autumn/Winter Fresh/Live tour, which includes shows in Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool and beyond, follows the sold out Fresh Live Spring tour which hit London (Koko), Liverpool, Birmingham, Glasgow, Sheffield and others, plus this summers headline gigs at Radio 1’s Hackney event, Global Gathering, Ibiza Rocks, T4 On The Beach, Boardmasters, NassFest, Wakestock and Parklife.

Testament to his songwriting and production prowess, guests on ‘Nextlevelism’ include some of the biggest names and hottest rising stars from hip hop, drum & bass, rock and beyond, taking in Dizzee Rascal (‘The Power’), Rita Ora (‘Hot Right Now’), hot signing to Ne-Yo’s new label, RaVaughn (‘The Feeling’), Professor Green and The Fray (‘Forever More’), Rizzle Kicks (‘Skyhighatrist’), Ms Dynamite (‘Golddust’), Juliette Lewis (‘Fire Over Water’), Adam F & Michael Warren (‘See You Again’), Liam Bailey (‘Don’t Tell Me’), Ayah Marar (‘The Edge’), Sian Evans (‘Louder’), Fleur (‘Turn It Up’) and more.
