Teen sensation Hank Vossberg clinches the MotoAmerica Twins Cup title with three races to spare after dominating weekend in Virginia.
Sixteen-year-old Hank Vossberg has wrapped up the 2026 MotoAmerica Twins Cup championship with three races still to run, delivering a masterclass performance at Virginia International Raceway that saw him take pole, break the lap record, and sweep both races across the weekend. It’s the kind of dominant statement that turns heads in American motorcycle racing—and it seals Aprilia’s fourth national title in six seasons.
Riding for Robem Engineering aboard the Aprilia RS 660, Vossberg showed blistering pace from Friday practice onward. By Saturday, he’d set a new lap record of 1:29.420 to claim pole position, then converted that into a Race 1 victory that mathematically clinched the title. He wasn’t done yet—Race 2 brought another win, capping off a perfect weekend and underlining why he’s been untouchable this year.
Nine wins, twelve races, zero days off the podium
Vossberg’s season stats tell the story: nine victories from twelve races, with a podium finish in every single outing. It’s a ruthlessly consistent campaign in the intermediate class of American racing, and it highlights not just his talent but the potency of the Aprilia RS 660 platform. Robem Engineering’s technical nous has been key, too—the team has now collected four Twins Cup titles since 2021, including Kaleb De Keyrel’s win that year and back-to-back crowns with Alessandro Di Mario in 2024 and 2025.
“It’s truly incredible,” Vossberg said after sealing the championship. “I never thought I’d win the championship this early. A few circumstances certainly helped me, but the team has done a brilliant job and the Aprilia RS 660 has performed really well. As for the final round in New Jersey, I just want to enjoy myself.”
One more round to go
With the title already secured, Vossberg heads to the final round in New Jersey with nothing to prove and everything to celebrate. Whether he adds to his tally or simply savours the moment, this season has already cemented his name as one to watch in American motorcycle racing—and given Aprilia another emphatic win in the championship it’s come to dominate.
