Olamide Books The O2 Arena for His Biggest London Headline Show Yet

Afrobeats heavyweight Olamide steps up to The O2 Arena on 25 March 2027, the biggest London headline show of his career, with a set promising the hits, new music and plenty of Lagos energy.

Some artists build a career. Olamide built a whole ecosystem. Now the man behind YBNL is getting a stage big enough to match: he’s headlining The O2 Arena in London on 25 March 2027, the largest London headline show he has ever played.

The show is presented by Hera Touring in association with YBNL Entertainment. It comes off the back of his headline performance at OVO Arena Wembley in 2025, so this is a clear step up. Going from Wembley’s arena to the O2 is the move that tells you a fanbase has outgrown the room.

The architect of a movement

It’s hard to overstate how much Olamide has shaped where Afrobeats sits today. He pioneered Yoruba Street-Hop, the rapid-fire, street-level sound that put indigenous-language rap front and centre. He then founded YBNL and used it to launch and steer the careers of Fireboy DML and Asake, two artists who’ve since gone on to pack out rooms of their own around the world.

So this isn’t one artist taking a victory lap. You’re watching the guy whose fingerprints are all over the genre’s global rise, and London has been one of the scenes that pushed hardest for Afrobeats from the start. If you caught the scale of this year’s Afro Nation Portugal with Burna Boy, Tyla and Wizkid, you’ll know the appetite for these big moments is only growing.

What to expect on the night

The show is billed as a career-spanning celebration. That means his biggest hits alongside new music, delivered with what the team are calling “the unmistakable energy of Lagos”. Picture 20,000 people in Greenwich shouting along to Yoruba bars and you’ll get the idea. It’s the kind of night where the sing-alongs carry on all the way back to North Greenwich station.
