The show which celebrates the achievements of black women, proving black girls do indeed rock is hosted by Hollywood actresses Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King for the third year running.
Performances on the night include Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Rowland, Janelle Monae, Ledisi, Sevyn Streeter, Eve, Misty Copeland, Amber Riley and Alice Smith.
There are also a few surprises in store with the cast of “Girlfriends,” Jill Marie Jones, Golden Brooks, Persia White and Tracee Ellis Ross, reuniting to pay tribute to show creator and Shot Caller Award recipient Mara Brock Akil.
Mariah Carey also steps back into the spotlight presenting Patti LaBelle with a Living Legend Award – as well as awards going to Queen Latifah and tennis pro Venus Williams during the all-star event.
