Jaya is back with a new single featuring Jojo Simmons (Runs House) and is ready to push the boundaries of what people expect from her pop image.
With the new single “Outta Control” Jaya showcases a darker, dirtier, grittier side to her persona as she takes us on a journey through her mind on this viral teaser for her forthcoming single.
The ‘Outta Control’ viral was the brainchild of UBC Global who wanted to push the boundaries of the usual release process and try something new. They enlisted the services of Mad Bean Productions, a fresh new creative team from London who went on to conceive, create and produce the viral video.
The video was intended to evoke the title of the single ‘Outta Control’, focusing on the dark connotations of the subject matter by personifying Jaya’s ‘out of control’ thoughts. The team achieved this by using the UK’s leading Krump family Wet Wipez – where the very nature of this dance style complimented the video’s theme.
Jaya came into 2010 off the back of a national tour with N-Dubz, Tinie Tempah, Mz Bratt and Esmee Denters, and a support slot on Peter Andre’s tour. Her debut single ‘DJ Do It Again’ introduced her to the public in March and showstopping performances for BBC introducing kept her busy this summer. She is now back with new music and an amazing new single guaranteed to set the airwaves on fire.
The full track was premiered on Nihal’s Radio 1 show on Tuesday, and the official video will be out late December/early January, with a remix of the track feat Marvell & Ruff Squad which will be released soon after along with a music video.
