Aspiring heptathlete, Rachel Christie has battled her way through the heats to make it through to the 2 day event to claim victory by being crowned as the new Miss England at the London Hilton Metropole on Tuesday 21st July 2009. 53 outstanding and beautiful grand finalists took to the stage at the hotel and wowed the audience with their evening wear, student fashion design clothes, eco wear and for the top 15, the swimwear round modelling Caprice’s ‘by Caprice’ swimwear. The night was also graced with classy entertainment, soprano singer Lucy Rhodes and stunning X-factor finalist Laura White.
The Miss England winner who is also Miss London City is a determined heptathlete hoping to make her mark in the London Olympics in 2012. Her graceful looks, her charming personality and her aspirations to become a top athlete is one of many reasons why she was chosen.
