American-born singer-songwriter Khalid hit the stage in Middlesborough last weekend.
The 21-year-old got switched to the main stage on Saturday night after the festival announced that Jess Glynne could no longer perform. The crowd screamed with happiness when festival-goers heard the contemporary R&B singer was taking her place…(Sorry Jess, we love you but Khalid deserved the main stage slot, hope you feel better though).
Performing in Middlesbrough for the first time, Khalid was like a breath of fresh air. The star performed fan favourites ‘8TEEN’ and Young Dumb & Broke’ from his debut album ‘American Teen’. The crowd seemed to be loving his soulful performance, treating us to some of his best dance moves… if only we could all be that talented.
To no surprise, Khalid brought best friend Billie Eilish on stage to perform their track ‘Lovely’ together. The onstage chemistry of these two is insane, we need more featuring tracks, please!
