Ain’t no competition like a Flavour Magazine competition and last week proved that. Bottles were popping, champagne was flowing and people were feeling the vibe at last Wednesday’s 4th annual Miss Flavour competition which took place at Café de Paris.

A host of some of the hottest girls in the UK were all vying for the crown but there could only be one winner; the beautiful and talented Neetu Sahota; a 21 year old dancer from London. The first runner up was Léa Poupelin and the second runner up Siobhan Copland. Amidst the fun of the girls strutting down the runway, having a pose off and answering questions from the judges in front of the crowd who came out to watch the event, performers like The Marvell Boys, Princess Nyah, Fumin and Young Lioness entertained the audience.

Ace and Vis from 1xtra hosted the show and provided incredible comedy gold from Vis doing push up’s when a feisty girl in the competition caught his eye “I need stamina and red bull for that girl” to when Ace accidentally called out the wrong winner (oops), there was never a dull moment!

We spied some of the UK’s hottest talents mingling with the beautiful and sexy audience. GB gold medallist Mark Lewis Francis was in the house checking out which girl would achieve the gold, the whole of the UK urban comedy scene brought the fun factor to the venue, including the award winning comedian Slim, MTV Base’s Kojo and the O2 arena legend that is Eddie Kadi. Music super star Selah and Megaman from So Solid also came out to show their support for this glittering annual affair, as well as UK hip hop stalwart Sway who was celebrating the release of his most recent mix-tape The Delivery 2 with us.

Models Alisha White and Jasmia Robinson from Britain’s Next Top Model were on the judging panel. Having been in the same position as the girls, they knew only to well how the contestants were feeling and exactly what kinda attitude, swag and sex appeal makes a girl stand out! The gorgeous Max from BBC Radio 1xtra and hot UK MC Scorcher also sat alongside the other 6 judges. The winner had her award handed over to her by the sexy Scorcher, as well as a kiss on the cheek (lucky Neetu).

The crowd went crazy when Neetu was announced as the winner, it was clear that she was a favourite. Her beauty and attitude shone through when she got stuck into the pose off, and her intellect when she answered questions from the judges. Melissa Lewars, the 2009 winner was on stage to hand her crown over to Neetu and offer her words of support.
