Tottenham artist Oranje 2000 will be releasing ‘Don’t Be Suprised’ in support of ‘MYLondon’, a campaign set up to tackle youth deprivation in and around London.

The UK artist will launch the track in late September in association with ‘The Connection Foundation’ which, in conjunction with ‘Mothers Against Guns’, brought the ‘MYLondon’ initiative to life. The campaign aims to create a heightened sense of unity within communities and believes it is essential to bridge the gap between the authoratative hierachy (i.e Local Authorities, MP’s etc) and the young people on the streets that they are representing. Following the riots that brought areas in London and across the UK to a standstill, ‘Don’t Be Suprised’ addresses the core issues facing comminities like Tottenham, where the riots began, and the proceeds from the single will go towards proving workshops and events in areas such as those. As well as the single, rapper Oranje 2000 is set to release his 12-track promo which will be available to download for free on August 29th from his Tumbler, Twitter (@Oranje2000) and Facebook page.
