Much loved pop star Peter Andre is set to appear at the Big Gig Weekend taking place in Shepton Mallet from September 25 to 27.
Peter, 36, will perform on the Saturday night of the event, alongside the recently reformed Boyzone and Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity.
His appearance will be one of the first performances after the release of his hotly anticipated new album Revelations. Peter will perform songs from this new album including new single Behind Closed Doors which raced to number four in the charts.
He said: “I can’t wait to get on stage and perform some of my new songs as well as some old favourites.
“The Big Gig is going to be fantastic, I get to see old friends Boyzone and watch the amazingly talented Diversity, Steve Appleton and Rhys Morgan and Mark Read former lead singer with A1.”
Peter rose to fame in 1996 with his iconic breakthrough hit Mysterious Girl and has since gained popularity on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and various reality shows.
The Big Gig Weekend will be the perfect showcase for Peter’s new music.
Also performing at the event is sultry crooner James Morrison, who will appear on the Friday night, as well as local band Pinstripe, who will experience crowds of up to 8,000 for the first time in their careers.
Sunday night will see classical starlet Katherine Jenkins perform stunning pieces accompanied by The National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Anthony Inglis. A special guest for this night is yet to be announced. Guests are invited to bring chairs and picnics to create a perfect end-of-summer evening.
