On a recent visit to Hoxton Square, we discovered a beautiful little restaurant by the name of Cocotte.

In true Flavourmag fashion, we simply had to pop in a taste the delights on offer. Cocotte is a French farm to table chicken rotisserie offering healthy, delicious homemade dishes made from fresh, farm-grown ingredients.

Staying true to its French heritage, all their free-range chickens are sourced from Evron in the Loire Valley of France. The chickens are marinated for 24h in their secret blend of herbs and spices, then slowly cooked and finished on the spit.

As you enter the restaurant, you’re greeted with a light and airy feel, slightly more upmarket feel than the usual grungy/shabby decor that is often found within the Shoreditch area. White brick walls, clean emerald green and white tiling, and just enough space to make a cosy lunch or dinner.

On the menu, you’ll find, Chicken (of course) with a range of homemade sauces… Ask for the Chicken Gravy to be piping hot and drizzle it over your chicken for a warm and nostalgic feeling that will excite your taste buds and be sure to try their new fries and the Truffle Mac n Cheese.

Cocotte also has a range of badass salads, meaning you can bring your vegetarian and vegan friends to Cocotte and everyone has something special to choose from. Albeit a Rotisserie Chicken restaurant, their salads are top-class, and you can pimp your salad with everything from diced roast chicken, quinoa, feta, avocado, baby tomatoes and more.

With a nice range of cocktails, desserts, even soups and grains, the menu caters for all tastes and food types, plus it’s served and presented in an Instagram friendly way, meaning you can get those beloved food pics for your gram. If you’re in Shoreditch or Hoxton, it’s well worth popping over to Cocotte for either lunch or dinner.
