His endless list of credits include a Comedy Central 1/2 hour special, HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, P. Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy, Showtime at the Apollo, BET’s Comic View, and the USO tour. How did you get into comedy and what drew you to the stage?
My friends in the military suggested that I give it a go.
Had you always wanted to be a comedian?
No. I initially wanted to be a motorcycle racer or a downhill skier.
How do you manage to successfully engage with your audience everytime?
I dont know! I just look out into the audience and feel them on a spiritual level!
Where do you find the inspiration for your material?
Everday tony woods type stuff inspires me.
Your comedic skit has been described as a ‘strange world’ would you say this is true and why?
My world aint strange to me! I seem to look at things from a different angle, that’s just not the same as most other folks’ angle
Do you think you are now at the top of your game or is there more to come?
I hope I’m not at the top of my game! I still wanna be a action hero on screen and TV. I still wanna just get funnier and funnier! I haven’t even done a feature film yet!
For those in the UK that haven’t seen you before what would you say they can expect?
I don’t know what they can expect because i dont plan at all!
How do you feel about performing on English soil?
Well I know English soil is usually wet but I will heat up the spot for yall!
You have an endless list of credits from Comedy Central to USO tour. What’s the next big accomplishment for you?
I have a travel show called “where in the world is TONY WOODS!”. A camera crew will just follow me around the world,whilst i do stuff!
