grime_5Everyone and their mama have been talking about hot UK Grime MC Devlin since the release of his videos London Town and Community Outcast.

Named as one of the BBC’s Sound Of 2010, the east London MC was involved in a bidding war with 5 record labels and now his management have confirmed that he has finally chosen to sign with Island-Universal (home to Wiley and Tinchy Stryder).

Since the age of 16 Devlin has been perfecting his craft and is by no means a stranger to the Grime scene. “Tales from the Crypt” Devlin’s first solo mix tape propelled him to underground guru status with his intellectual verses and melodic flow.

This year will see Devlin make the transition from underground to mainstream artist but Grime fans don’t be worried. His management also confirmed that despite his new major label deal he will still be making underground music with his crew, O.T., and friends in grime, Ghetts and Griminal.
