At Flavourmag, we love a good, boozy brunch, so we made it our mission to scour the fun-filled city of London for the best brunch experiences we could find.

Who doesn’t love an excuse to get dressed up in the day, grab a gaggle of our favourite friends and head down to a snazzy venue to feast on fine foods, nurse a glass or two of bubbly and dance the day away – until the doors close at 5pm and everyone’s a bit confused about what to do next (we say hit the afterparties). Read on for the lowdown of our favourites of the London brunch bunch.

1. Love Brunch

For glamour-seekers with a penchant for Ibiza-esque house music

One of the original bad boys of the party brunch movement, this world-famous brand is renowned for throwing Ciroc cocktail-fuelled shindigs in hip cities across the globe, including Sydney, Verbier (tequila shot off a ski anyone?) and our very own beloved city of London. Expect beautiful people, perfectly concocted cocktails by expert mixologists and sultry house music to take you back to the sunny shores of the Balearics.

Most love brunches feature gigantic BBQs, where hefty beef burgers and vegan options can be found sizzling away. Love Brunch parties are also often held in scenic rooftop locations, so you can dance away those calories in the open air and get your tan on, whilst pretending not to check out the good-looking bar staff.

2. Hip Hop Brunch

For swag-heavy, hip-hop-loving people who love hogging the karaoke machine

Every Saturday and two sassy Sundays a month, this tune-heavy brunch bestows bottomless cocktails between 12 – 1pm on its lucky guests, as well as a tempting three course menu, the Hip Hop Brunch infamous Hip Hop Karaoke and endless entertainment from The Ink Factory, Magic Circle Winning Magicians, international and award-winning DJ’s and so much more.

Due to its sudden popularity, Hip Hop Brunch has now gone global, reaching the glamorous realms of Berlin, St Tropez, Melbourne and, err, Manchester.

Fancy a temporary tatt to add a necessary dose of extra swag to your look on the day? Hip Hop Brunch’s very own experienced tattoo artists will be on hand to adorn a bodily part of your choice with a slick design to get those heads turning.

The merry mayhem begins at 12pm and lasts until 5 pm – plenty of time to shake that booty to hip-hop favourites old and new. Just don’t forget to wear every single chain, even when you’re in (and out) of the house. Sorry, we couldn’t help ourselves there.

3. Glitter Brunch Rave

For those seeking the ultimate, glittertastic festival experience – and brunch!

Why wait for that crazy music festival to fabulously bejewel and decorate yourself shamelessly in glitter? Glitter party gurus KoOKyLoCo & Shine Shack bring raving revellers the ultimate Glitter Brunch Party of their dreams.

Pleasing-to-the-eye party people will arrive dressed in their sparkly outfits at 1pm, where they will be lavished with free-flowing Prosecco and free glitter & gem makeup. We love that you get both!

After a refreshing swig or two of your favourite tipple, mince over towards the in-house makeup artists, who will grace your face with festival-fierce gems and glitter makeup in the colours of your choice, all for free – something we’ve never come across during our never-ending, investigative brunch quest.

Us fancy-free folk will enjoy the food and entertaining live acts, before the extravagant party really kicks off with drummers, dancers and top DJs spinning the sexiest house, UK Garage, RnB, Hip-Hop and the best party mashup anthems.

Get ready to party hard, release your inner wild child and most importantly, get your glitter groove on

4. UK Garage Brunch

For fans of UK Garage, rum and fried chicken. Standard.

UKG Brunch

UKG Brunch launched earlier this year with the promise of several of life’s finest things, UK Garage, flavoursome fried chicken, rum punch cocktails and 90’s fancy dress (get that Burberry shirt ready). The event takes place at various venues across the capital and boasts big-name garage DJs and MCs, including the Artful Dodger, DJ Luck and MC Neat and the revered DJ Creed.

Get ready to down those Jamaican-style rum cocktails, gorge on posh fried chicken from Haggerston’s quirky chicken shop BIRD, smash your face full of iced doughnuts and get into game playing mode as there’s big chance you’ll be called up on stage to take part in a fun game or even a dare. The last time we visited, a poor chap from North London won a hot sauce shot drinking contest much to the delight of the lively garage-loving crowd. He put on a brave face, bless him and we will always remember him fondly.

Go with the fun chums of your youth and prepare to get a little bit rowdy – in a civilised, adult way of course.

5. Coya Brunch

For big spenders with adventurous tastes

coya brunch

For a touch of Peruvian panache, head over on a Saturday to Mayfair’s ultra-exclusive COYA restaurant for a blissful brunch where they’ll be serving bottomless exotic cocktails and Instagram-worthy canapés in the chic Pisco Lounge from 12.30pm, before the main culinary experience begins at 1.30pm. The four-course fine dining menu includes some of COYA’s renowned dishes such as ceviches, tiraditos, baos, grilled meat and fish and finishes with a mouth-watering dessert.

Get dressed up in your finest brunching attire and prepare yourselves for a 4-hour otherworldly experience featuring world-class DJs, outstanding live music and dazzling entertainment, so be ready to let your hair down and please those fussy taste buds.

The only painful aspect of this elegant brunch is the price – an eye-watering £95 per person, but we think for a special occasion, or just to splash out on some much-needed indulgence, it’s well worth it.
