Chilean born Juan Rojo took an interest in music at an early age, with a passion for the sounds of Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Jorge González & Los Prisioneros and even Beethoven! The bubbly streets of New York filled with electro breakdance and Hip-Hop had an impact on the young Juan. In 1993 he moved to Brazil, where he developed a passion for collecting records of all kinds and attended Art School, where he started a band! Keeping a part of himself always invested in music, Juan began his solo journey, producing electro-acoustic material as well as soundtrack music for both cinema and theatre. With developed passions towards dancing, raving, liberating and creating, Juan now has three dance EPs under his belt many singles and remixes which flow across the genres of techno, ambient, deep house and more, and he has produced award-winning Soundtrack in Tiago Mata Machado’s Motion Picture “Os Residentes”. Rojo is now based in Scotland, the home of HOONOH, his very own record label! Over the years he has co-produced and collaborated with many producers and songwriters worldwide.

“One can never stop learning” and Juan Rojo certainly takes that statement seriously. Aiming always to innovate and to re-invent, remaining forever curious.
