I gave the Loving Tan range a full-on test, and I’ve got to say, I think I’ve found my new favourite. The Purist Tanning Mousse. Absolute winner. 10/10, no exaggeration

I’m no tanning expert. I mean, I apply it, but do I do it well? That’s a different story. My usual tell-tale giveaway is the streaky wrists or that weird orangey tint that never quite works. But after using the Purist Tanning Mousse three times, there are no streaks, no funky dark patches on my wrists—just a natural, sun-kissed glow. Honestly, it’s the most realistic tan I’ve used. I’m not sure how to explain it, but it looks like I’ve just come back from a beach holiday with a real depth of colour and without the weird orange undertones.

The Face Serum is a winner too. It’s the first of its kind, apparently, and it’s got that perfect balance of smoothness and nourishment. I’d guess that’s the chamomile at work, which I love, especially with my rosacea which can be such a hater at times. My skin can be a pain with most products, but this one feels like a treat.

Now, made in Australia, and if anyone knows how to do a bronzed, natural glow, it’s them. The Purist Collection is 97% organic, dermatologically tested, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly. You really can’t go wrong.

I also gave the Deluxe Gradual Tan a shot for both my body and face. It’s a solid way to maintain a tan, and I think I’d use the face one on holiday because:

1. My face never tans (it’s like my skin refuses).

2. I’m in my 30s now, and I’m just not about that sun damage life, so I’m left with a bronzed body and a pale face. This would be a great fix for that, but, let’s be real, I’m way too lazy to stick to gradual tan applications. Still, nice to have the option.

The smell? We all know that fake tan stench, right? This one is surprisingly mild—slightly sweet, but not overpowering. I hate strong smelling creams, especially on the face, but the serum and the gradual tan barely have a scent. No strong, biscuit-like smell here, which is a massive win in my book.

So, will the Purist Tanning Mousse be my go-to from now on? Without a doubt. Though, I do want to see how the 2-Hour Express Tan stacks up next. Could be worth trying when this bottle runs out. Overall, definitely worth the price tag.
