Thursday 7th October was a night brought together by UK Label Risky Roadz. The main act of the night was Marvell. The dynamic trio who have been putting in the groundwork with mixtapes, a tour with Chipmunk, a spot on the MOBO’s tour and enough fans to fill a stadium!
Shunt in London Bridge was the venue for the launch and the circus theme to the night was enhanced by waitresses dressed as ring leaders, top hats, tails and very little else. A juggler, fire eater and acrobats added to the pre show entertainment. Not your usual Thursday night out!
The main event happened inside the ‘The Machine’ a three level art installation with glass ceilings and floors. Marvell and label mates Sean Rumsey and A.L. divided themselves between the levels and performed tracks including Memories, Use Somebody (Kings of Leon cover) and the big Marvell single out now We Know!
Marvell proved that they have the sound, the bars, the swag and the ability to deliver a night that was unlike any launch we had been too.
