The ‘E.T’ singer releases the fifth song from her Brit Award nominated album ‘Teenage Dream’. The latest single remix of ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)’ features the lyrical dexterity of Missy Elliot and is out now on Virgin Records.

Katy Perry is set to return to the UK in October for her arena tour, reaching London’s O2, Liverpool, Manchester and everywhere in between. The 26 year old married to British comedian/actor Russell Brand in October last year and has enjoyed phenomenal success having spent almost an entire year in the Top 10 of the ‘Billboard Hot 100’. The singer has had a busy year, performing ‘E.T’ just last month on American Idol with Kanye West, and spending most of this year performing sold out shows across the world on her California Dreams Tour. An avid social media user, Perry has kept fans hooked to her touring activity by using Twitter to interactive with them at the shows and across the globe. Using a huge screen  on stage at her concerts, she welcomes her fans as they enter and allows them to tweet live pictures and messages via ‘Tweet-to-Screen’ (a smaller version of this is available to her followers at home too).

The new remix video features Missy extra vocals and just clips from original ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)’ video starring the singer who plays Kathy Beth Terry, a 13 year old 8th grader with large spectacles, a head brace and who loves puzzles, science fairs and sudoku. Bullied as a child herself, Perry’s character lives life a as a stressed out teen in the 90’s, with a long list list of guest stars (including Glee actors, Darren Criss ‘Blaine’ and Kevin McHale ‘Arty.). The single features on her album ‘Teenage Dream’, which is only the ninth album release to include at least 4 number one singles; ‘Firework’, ‘E’T’ ft. Kanye West, ‘Teenage Dream’ and ‘California Gurls’ ft. Snoop Dogg, in Billboard’s over 50 year history.
