Soundcore Space 2 Headphones Review: Gym-Ready, Comfortable and Surprisingly Secure

Unboxing the Soundcore Space 2 felt like a nice little treat. You pull the paper cord from the top and bottom, slide the box out, and there they are, ready to go. First impressions were strong. They’re lightweight, soft and instantly feel comfortable around the head, which is always a good start.

Soundcore Space 2 is available in three colourways. Linen White, Jet Black and Seafoam Green.

What really stood out for me was how they perform in the gym. I’ve used a lot of over-the-head headphones where the moment you lie down for a bench press or any floor work, they fall straight off. These didn’t. Somehow, they stayed put the entire time. Whether I was lifting, moving around, or adjusting positions, they didn’t fall backwards or shift much at all, which is a big win.

Connectivity is another highlight. Turn them on and within a second they appear on your phone. Easily one of the quickest and simplest Bluetooth connections I’ve used.

Sound quality is where they really shine. I tested everything from house and R&B to reggae and even a bit of rock, and across the board the sound was clean, full and enjoyable. The noise cancelling also does a solid job, especially with low, constant background noise.

Comfort-wise, the ear cups are slightly smaller than expected, but they still fit well, even on larger ears. The memory foam padding makes them easy to wear for longer sessions, whether that’s in the gym or just everyday use.

There are a couple of minor drawbacks. They don’t fold down as compactly as I would have liked, and while they come with a carry bag, it’s not something I found myself using. Also, if you’re worried about “headphone hair,” that’s something to keep in mind with any over-the-head headphones.

Battery life is strong, with up to 50 hours with noise cancelling on, and even a quick five-minute charge gives you a few extra hours when needed.

Overall, the Soundcore Space 2 are a solid all-rounder. Comfortable, easy to use, great sound, and most importantly, they stay on your head when you actually need them to. They also come in three colours: Linen White, Jet Black (the colour I sampled) and Seafoam Green, plus the price makes these an instant winner.
