We all know Nandos, the much loved, trusted casual dining restaurant that can be found in every high street. Its Portuguese/Mozambican theme has long been in our hearts, serving us delicious food since 1992. However this summer they are bringing something new to its adored customers with a series of free Nando’s GigNics across the country. That’s right; Nandos will be taking their much loved PERi-PERi chicken to the great outdoors with ‘gig meets picnic’ events.
Consisting of three gig and peri-peri events, the picnic vibe will offer friends and families a unique laid-back experience as they get the chance to grab a deck chair or sit a picnic blanket and feast on some sizzling PERi-PERi chicken, al fresco.
The free gigs will be taking place in LONDON – Highbury Fields Park (Saturday 9th June), LEEDS – Roundhay Park (Saturday 16th June) and GLASGOW – Glasgow Green (Saturday 23rd June) during 1.00pm – 9:00pm.
Each gig provides hours of non-stop Nando’s entertainment, featuring artists, Rizzle Kicks, Clement Marfo & The Frontline, MistaJam, King Charles and Josh Osho as well as the special guest and main attraction, heaps of PERi-PERi chicken.
Speaking on the upcoming festivities, Nando’s Head of PR, Keri Perkins said: “We wanted to say thank to our fans in a way that was a bit more meaningful and embodied the Nando’s spirit. Last summer we got together with some inspired new music talent and launched GigNics in Soho Square London. This year GigNics is bigger, so more of our customers can kick back outdoors to the sounds of great music – with PERi-PERi chicken, of course!”
